Even if winter has yet to cover the landscape in its white robe here in Stockholm, the count down to christmas continues. Last weeks Spotify playlist with christmas carols had ha sense of reverence over it. This week we kick up the beat a little with some old goodies that never go out of time. Why not listen to the playlist when you bake, decorate or otherwise prepare for christmas?

 Today, the first of four Sundays before Christmas, the holiday season has officially begun. In Sweden it is also called The First of Advent. Advent means arrival, and since the 5th century AD it has marked the arrival of the birth of Christ. Since the 1890′s the custom here in Sweden is such that we light a candle every Sunday during Advent in our Advent candlestick.

To really get into the Holiday spirit I love to listen to Christmas Carols. So this year I have searched through the vast selection of songs available on Spotify and chosen my personal favourites. On every Advent I will share with you a playlist with 10 Christmas Carols, both of Swedish and international origin.
